So week two, huh. Through threeish quarters, we were staring down the barrel of a potential 2026 QB draft narrative repeat. A ton of exciting guys, who, when they play, fall apart. Well, Arch really changed that narrative against Ohio State, and Drew Mestemaker went full John Elway against Oregon.
Week three begins byes, and the beginning of the end of out of conference games so not too many games this weekend with only 19. There are three ranked games, though, and maybe the most hyped one of the CFB regular season, LSU at Ole Miss. Hopefully Sam Leavitt is healthy, because that looks to be a great game. Don't sleep on SMU at Louisville though, where there are two really fun QBs playing.
To those of you who are new to this prospect schedule, this is a personally curated collection of matchups between draft eligible players this weekend where there are individual matchups on both sides of the ball. An example is: we all know that Drew Mestemaker might be fighting for his life against an unreal Oregon D-line and will learn more from this game than his game against Tulsa (or maybe just that he won't leave this year?). So if you say wHy is lEOnaRd MoOre noT iN tHe LIst tHis wEEk?? I'll know you can't read.
Think of this list as a shorthand for what matchups to key in on as you quad-box up on Saturday, or to jump into first once your All-22 provider gets everything uploaded next week.
In addition, this year I will write a little about a matchup I really want to watch this weekend, and then I will write a review of both players once I have time to watch it the following week.
